Eric Ratner graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Teaching
Exceptional Children before attending Pennsylvania State College of Medicine.
He completed both his internship in internal medicine and his residency in
anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Ratner earned a Fellowship in Pain Management (Chronic and Acute)
Anesthesiology also at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is licensed by
the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and the New Jersey Board of Medical
Examiners as well as the Drug Enforcement Administration. He is certified by
the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Anesthesiology -
Pain Management.
Dr. Ratner's current appointments include Medical Director of Pain Care
Institute and hospital appointments at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center,
and Saint Joseph's Hospital. His past appointments include Medical Director of
Pain Solutions, P.C. and Instructor of Anesthesiology, Director of the In-House
Pain Service, and Director of the Pain Resident/Fellowship Education program at
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Ratner is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists,
Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists, Philadelphia Society of
Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, International
Anesthesia Research Society, American Medical Association, Pennsylvania Medical
Society, Philadelphia County Medical Society, and the International Spinal
Injection Society.
