Mark Zebley graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.A. in Biological
Sciences and an M.S. in Biomechanics before attending Temple University School
of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at
Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Zebley earned a Fellowship in
Colon and Rectal Surgery from Washington University. He is licensed by the
Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Examiners. He is certified by the American
Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Zebley's awards and honors include the Peter White Research Award from the
University of Delaware, First Place in the Eleanor Widener Dixon Resident
Research Competition at Abington Memorial Hospital and Rosenfeld Surgical
Scholar also at Abington Memorial Hospital. His hospital appointments include
Surgical Director of GI Procedure Unit at Abington Memorial Hospital, Surgeon
at both Abington Memorial Hospital and Holy Redeemer Hospital and Clinical
Instructor in Surgery at Temple University Hospital.
Dr. Zebley is a fellow in the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the
American college of Surgeons, the Pennsylvania Society of Colon and Rectal
Surgery and the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery. His professional memberships
include the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, Society
of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
