James Moore, M.D. - General Surgery

James Moore graduated from Brown University with a B.S. before attending the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital. He is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and is FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) board certified in General Surgery.

Dr. Moore’s current professional and academic appointments include Senior Surgeon at both Abington Memorial Hospital and Holy Redeemer Hospital, and Clinical Assistant Instructor of Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine.

Dr. Moore is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and his professional memberships include Sigma Chi Scientific Society, Cancer Committee, Medical Records Committee and Residency Advisory Committee for the Department of Surgery.  His special interests are diseases of the breast, breast cancer, and hernias.
